Cargo Sales Assistant

JOB OUTLINE

• Support the Cargo Sales team with sales administration including sales reports, arranging appointments, filing of sales documents, updating client records and providing an office-based contact point for clients (freight forwarders, consolidators, cargo agents, commercial accounts and other parties in the assigned territory)

• Answer sales queries in the absence of the sales team, issuing information on SkyCargo’s products and services and ad hoc quotations. Identify potential sales leads and pass to the sales team.

• Assist sales team with monitoring performance of key accounts, using CASS, manifest details and other information sources.

• Respond to queries from internal customers eg Head Office departments and other Outstations

• Maintain accurate records of all contractual agreements.

• Undertake telesales campaigns for routes which have been identified as having vacant capacity, in order to maximise revenues on those routes.

• Ensure that all existing cargo clients are aware of D&R Services SkyCargo products and services by distributing pertinent product brochures, timetables, promotional material for new destinations and other information on D&R Services SkyCargo products and services.

• Assist the Cargo Sales Executive in all arrangements for promotional/ client hospitality events including invitations, facilities, catering, merchandising and giveaways.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) with experience in a Cargo environment, ideally including in F&A Solutions Reservations/Sales

• Knowledge of Cargo reservations systems will be advantageous.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Self-motivated, and pro-active with the ability to work independently and on own initiative.

• Excellent planning and organisation skills

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in both written and spoken Dutch, French and English
