Avnet is a global leader of electronic components and services, guiding makers and manufacturers from design to delivery. The Tongeren Distribution Center handles interconnect passive and electromechanical (IP&E) products and distributes them all over the world.

We are now looking for a Customer Support Operator to join our team. Our goal is to maximize customer satisfaction by providing a proactive and professional service, while allowing the operational departments to concentrate on their task.

What are the responsibilities of a Customer Support Operator?

• Process customer requests and provide a timely feedback to the business as defined in our SLA
• Ensure urgent customer orders are shipped as requested by the business, if needed in close cooperation with all operational departments
• Monitor and prioritize shipments with an early cut off time and/or special handling shipments (single export licenses, batteries, etc)
• Coordinate customer pick-ups, special carriers and express shipments
• Process customer claims in cooperation with all operational departments, and issue the final feedback to the business
• Capture all relevant customer claim information in the relevant tool
• Process stock-related queries
• Monitor manufacturer returns
• Generate and distribute status reports as instructed by the Customer Support Supervisor

Jouw profiel

What are we looking for?

• At least 3 years of experience in a customer service position, preferable within a logistics or warehousing environment
• Good knowledge of warehouse and shipping processes
• Experience in MS Office
• Knowledge of warehouse management system
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Knowledge of German and French is a nice plus
• Team spirit, good diplomatic communicator
• Organizational skills and ability to deal with several priorities at the same time in a high pressure environment
• Customer and service oriented personality

• Oplossingen voorstellen als antwoord op de klachten van de klanten of het dossier doorsturen naar de geschillendienst, de logistieke dienst, ...
• Prestatie-indicatoren voor de dienst uitwerken
  De resultaten analyseren
  Aanpassingen doorvoeren
• De opmerkingen van de klanten verzamelen en doorsturen naar de dienst productie, marketing, onderzoek, ontwikkeling, ...
• Uitwerken van of bijdragen aan de klantenstrategie
  De jaaractieplannen en de doelstellingen van de dienst bepalen
• Acties uitvoeren ter ondersteuning van het personeelsbeheer (aanwerving, opleiding, ...)
• Kwaliteitsprocedures van de klantendienst uitwerken of verder uitwerken
  Controleren of kwaliteitsprocedures toegepast worden
