What you can look forward to

• Design and maintenance of software in the BI environment such as IBM InfoSphere DataStage or SQL Server Integration Services
• Design and maintenance of data visualization and reporting platforms such as IBM Cognos and Microsoft Power BI
• Definition of technical requirements, architecture, security concepts and test strategies
• Ongoing optimization of the application architecture based on virtualization, cloud and container technology
• Provision of tools based on the latest infrastructure technologies for data engineering, DevOps, etc.
• 2nd level support and competent contact person, taking into account the level of self-service per application/tool
• Design, development and maintenance of monitoring and logging solutions for professional site reliability engineering

What you bring with you

• Degree in (business) informatics, IT specialist training or professional experience in a BI environment
• Good knowledge of operating systems, Linux (preferably RHEL) and/or Windows, network and storage
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, Software Defined Network & Storage Cluster is an advantage
• Experience in BI platform engineering and BI architecture as well as in software / ETL development is an advantage
• English language skills with regard to the cooperation with our support partners
• Ability to coordinate and manage activities, special topics and projects in the area of responsibility
• Goal- and result-oriented initiative (e.g. independent work and active problem-solving behavior)
