My client is an international company, based in the UK, engineering - manufacturing and distributing smart charging technology solutions for private drivers as well as organisations.

The company's core value and goal is clear : speed up the global transition to clean energy. Founded less than 10 years ago, the company has already conquered prestigious partners such as Mercedes, Polestar, Cupra, Seat, etc.

It now employs more than 200 people in 8 countries and is aiming at further developing its presence in Europe.

It's in this growth context that a firs Business Developer profile is looked for in Belgium.


As Business Developer in Belgium your goal is simple : looking for new business opportunities for the company in Belgium.

More specifically, the company operates through different sales channels already in Belgium. But a local physical presence is necessary to build stronger relationships with Wholesalers & installers of electric e-mobility solutions.

That's where you step into the challenge : a first solid mapping out of the market is going to be necessary to identify potential prospects and partners. You'll then be in charge of representing the company, offering all the technical expertise necessary while ensuring strong commercial relationships management.

You collaborate directly with the international sales team in sharing business insight and business best practices. As well as will your manager, Director of Development in BeneLux, to develop a coherent commercial strategy for the Belgian market.


The successful candidate will have

Hard skills :

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial professional experience in B2B environment (ideally already in electricity, renewable, e-mobility)
  • Based in Belgium and mobile across the whole country + travelling to the UK.
  • Fluency in Dutch, French & English is mandatory to cover the whole country while communicating easily with this British company
  • A strong "hunter" mentality - you are goal oriented and love the challenge of new clients acquisition

Soft skills :

  • You share the company's strong values in sustainability, e-mobility & change in consumption of transport solutions.
  • Business development skills - you love to spend your time on the road, meeting with new people and building a network
  • Strong entrepreneur mentality - as first recruitment in Belgium and stand-alone role, you'll be very autonomous in this role. You are expected to take matter i your own hand and drive the development of the activity in a leading manner.
  • Long-term orientation - the employer is looking to invest in a high potential first commercial in Belgium to conduct the business development at first but also make long-term projections with, in terms of coaching future sales recruits and taking the commercial lead of the Belgian market.
