Today, Beyers - as part of the SL Connect - has grown into the largest coffee roaster in Belgium and a major player in the European private label coffee market. Your team

  • LMMN Partners, the Chief Operating Officer to whom you report, has a strong knowledge and background in Procurement and is a very experienced manager with years of experience in the food industry. Like all managers here, his door is open and his communication is open and direct. He expects you to think and work strategically to improve/renew the sourcing of our packaging materials while also working hands-on to take Procurement to the next level.
  • Your team will consist of ⚠ people. LMMN Partners V, Procurement Officer, is still new in his position but has already gained ⚠ years of experience at RL Solutions and in procurement, and ⚠ Purchasing Officers, Loïc Vandenberghe & Miss Sophie Young, working out of our Service Center in Lebanon. You'll sit with LMMN Partners V and colleagues from Logistics, Marketing and Operations. Besides enjoying tasty waffles and sour candies, they are always open to a good joke.
  • Your training will be determined based on your knowledge and experience. Of course, we provide the necessary onboarding and introduction to various team members.

What challenge is in front of you?

  • You will be responsible for end-to-end sourcing of products and services essential to our operations.
  • You are responsible for installing a professional procurement environment, creating a spend cube, using category approach, setting Vendor Rating, effectively applying (e-) sourcing methodologies and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
  • You will challenge vendors and internal customers to recognize and implement innovative designs, value-added specification changes and TCO reductions.
  • You will manage, develop, train and mentor your small team and then assess their performance.
  • You will develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance targets and improvement initiatives.
  • You will conduct annual analyses to evaluate overall cost savings after implementation of the new strategies and budget impacts for the upcoming period.

Who are you?

  • You have a Bachelor's degree or higher (Business Economics, Supply Chain, Commercial Sciences, Applied Economics,...)
  • You have experience in strategic procurement, preferably in the food industry for private labels.
  • You are hands-on, results-oriented and cost-driven, with excellent analytical skills.
  • You are a good negotiator and influencer and you are strong in building both internal and external relationships.
  • You have a good knowledge and understanding of the elements leading to control of the CCP.
  • You are fluent in English and a good knowledge of Dutch or Italian is a plus.
  • Experience in working with SAP MM and PtP is a plus.
