Initially, you will receive a fixed-term employment contract as an extended probationary period, as the induction is extensive and will take longer than the regular probationary period. Afterwards, however, there is the possibility of permanent employment.

  • Few things please our customers more than good service - which is why we are delighted that you successfully implement and maintain our customers' IT systems.
  • Whether technical analysis or administration and conception in the following areas: Virtualization with Oracle, Linux and Windows Server, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, storage/backup, VPN and network planning, monitoring, 2nd/3rd level support - you make it happen!
  • With the housekeeping of our legacy systems and the implementation of migrations (OS modernizations), you make yourself indispensable not only for our customers, but also for us.
  • Your extensive know-how is put to good use when creating technical documentation and supporting your colleagues in the implementation of specifications.
  • Carrying out system handovers to our support team and participating in customer presentations and workshops round off your area of responsibility with us.
  • Last but not least, we look forward to your expertise when it comes to system administration in the Oracle Cloud and the monitoring and housekeeping of our CheckMK-based monitoring system.

YOUR SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completed training in the IT environment, e.g. as an IT specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification and professional experience
  • Sound operating system knowledge in Linux and virtualization solutions
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, network architecture, monitoring, cloud administration, databases and simple DB queries
  • Willingness to carry out scheduled maintenance work at weekends (usually 1-2 days/month) and also (in exceptional cases) to be present at customer sites
  • Certifications such as LPic2 or similar, with a focus on Linux desirable
  • Business fluent German and good English
  • Personally, you combine strong communication skills, goal orientation and a willingness to take responsibility
