Legal Counsel

As Legal & Corporate Affairs Counsel, you will deal with all legal issues that arise within HLN Match Brewery. You are at the heart of the organisation and have a close relationship with the commercial teams, the management and European (legal) colleagues. You will be working at our office in Breda, a ⚠-minute walk from the station.

What are you going to do?

• Advising the management and the various departments (e.g. Sales, Marketing and Supply) on a variety of legal issues (e.g. in the field of contract law, corporate law, competition law, IP law, data privacy and compliance).
• Supervising legal proceedings , including instructing external lawyers.
• Negotiating and drafting various ( international) agreements ( e.g. purchase agreements, customer agreements and sponsorship agreements).
• Assessing marketing campaigns against responsible alcohol marketing regulations.
• Assessing packaging and labels on all HLN Match Brewery products.
• Corporate activities for group companies established in the Netherlands.
• Keeping colleagues up to date on the latest legal developments through training courses.

Jouw profiel

Who are we looking for?

An ambitious professional with:

• ⚠-⚠ years of experience as a lawyer or in-house counsel at an international company.
• Knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and a background in competition law is an advantage.
• Strategic thinker with practical ideas in developing legal workflows to support business strategy.
• Strong analytical skills and decisiveness
• Passion for beer and a positive, pragmatic and action-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English – knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

• Procedurehandelingen verrichten (opstelling van dagvaardingen, doorsturen van besluiten, overhandiging van het dossier aan de rechtbank, ...)
• Een onderneming bijstaan binnen het wettelijk kader (fiscale regels optimaliseren, ...)
• Het toepassen van de privacywetgeving in de organisatie bewaken
  Het overzicht m.b.t. de verwerking van persoonsgegeven beheren
  Contactpunt zijn voor de privacy commissie
• Informeren over de procedure van ingebrekestelling, dagvaarding en bemiddeling, in functie van de oplossing van het geschil
