RW Link (Wiesbaden) is looking to fill the following position in the IT and Media Center's Basic Services department:

Employee for information security (m/f/d)

Your tasks

Network security - Diverse scope for development

  • Control of security-relevant changes such as the assignment of sensitive user rights or changes to the firewall rules and the further development of control procedures
  • Development and maintenance of the firewall rules, taking into account current technologies, the further development of the network and IT infrastructure and the general IT threat situation
  • Developing, monitoring and evaluating measures to improve information security and security checks for newly introduced software, taking into account technical, organizational and data protection aspects, and developing suitable procedures for this task
  • Further development of the university's endpoint security solution, taking into account current requirements and technological developments
  • Processing security incidents in direct coordination with the CISO and other departments involved, documenting and reporting them if necessary
  • Participation in the creation of security concepts and guidelines
  • Advising and supporting the ITMZ departments and department administrators in implementing security measures and responding to security incidents

Your profile

  • Completed university degree with a technical focus, preferably in computer science or equivalent skills and experience
  • Several years of professional experience in the aforementioned area of expenditure is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of current operating systems (Windows/Linux) and knowledge of current network applications
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies (firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, endpoint protection, sandboxing, endpoint security, SIEM)
  • Good knowledge of the current IT threat situation and current trends in attacks on information security are advantageous
  • Knowledge of information security management standards (e.g. BSI baseline protection, ISO ⚠), current best practices in information security and data protection
  • Business fluent German language skills
  • Preferably knowledge of university structures
