Trilingual Logistics Assistant (m-f-x)

For one of its clients, Robert half is looking for a Logistics Assistant (m-f-x) who speaks French, English and ideally Dutch.

Our customer is based in Gembloux and operates in the medical field.

As Trilingual Logistics Assistant (m-f-x) you will assist in coordinating and facilitating the logistical operations of the company. You will work closely with the logistics team to ensure the efficient flow of goods and materials through the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory items;
  • shipping and Receiving: Coordinate shipments and deliveries, including preparing shipping documents, scheduling pickups, and receiving incoming shipments;
  • order Processing: Process customer orders promptly and accurately, ensuring timely delivery to meet customer expectations;
  • supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations and resolve any issues that may arise;
  • data Entry and Reporting: Input data into the logistics management system and generate reports as needed to track inventory levels, shipments, and other relevant metrics;
  • quality Control: Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards;
  • warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including shelving, labeling, and inventory storage;
  • communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to provide updates on shipment status, address inquiries, and resolve any logistics-related issues;
  • compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines governing transportation, handling, and storage of goods.

Qualifications:

  • high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus;
  • language skills required: French, English & Dutch;
  • previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a logistics or warehouse environment;
  • proficiency in computer systems and software, including MS Office and logistics management systems;
  • strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively;
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping;
  • ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
