International Business Development Manager


Located in Herstal (Liège), FN Herstal (www.fnherstal.com), global leader in its operational domain, with long-standing experience in the development, manufacture and commercialisation of complete ranges of arms and accessories for use in the Defence and Law Enforcement sectors.

FN Herstal has around 1,600 employees and is part of Groupe Herstal, also active in the fields of Hunting and Shooting sport through its Browning subsidiary.

The FN® e-novation division specialises in the development of electronic products and new technologies with which to optimise the use of FN products. It employs a team of twenty people (Team Leaders, Project Managers, Test & Validation Engineers, Technical Experts, Electronics Technicians, Software Engineers, Hardware Developers, etc.).


Integrated within the Commercial & Marketing department at FN Herstal, you are responsible for promoting the FN® e-novation product ranges specifically. Your objective is to increase the visibility of this product range and develop the network.

Accordingly, your responsibilities will include:

  • doing your utmost to promote and position the products as effectively as possible with the target markets (ministries of defence, armed forces, civilian forces, etc.), in collaboration with commercial managers and the FN Herstal network;
  • regularly visiting your clients/prospects, taking part in and representing FN® e-novation at international trade fairs;
  • positioning yourself as a proper product and market expert: you collect all relevant market information and report it accurately to internal teams so that products can be delivered in line with customer requirements;
  • identifying and developing new commercial opportunities in new market segments or when introducing new products;
  • coordinating, with the Project Manager, specific marketing activities targeting the opportunities identified (coordinating the creation of promotional material, the marketing plan, etc.);
  • contributing to the development of the global strategy for FN® e-novation with your clear vision of the market and its evolution.

  • Higher education (civil engineer, industrial, commercial, marketing, finance, etc.).
  • Proven experience (5 years) in the international sale of technical products.
  • Knowledge of the Defence industry, military domain or security is a plus.
  • Good knowledge or at least an affinity with electronics.
  • Articulate and approachable, both with customers and internal teams.
  • Known for being autonomous, proactive and thorough.
  • Prepared to travel between 30 and 40% of your time in Europe and overseas.
  • Fluent in French and English. Knowledge of any other language is an asset.
