We are undergoing major digital transformation in order to keep up with the market trends and remain future proof. This is an important role in this whole project, making sure that the e-commerce remains operational and flawless while working on raising the standard of e-commerce excellence and customer experience.

As our Ecommerce Product Owner, you will be a hands-on responsible for the ecommerce development and optimization. You provide an excellent service taking into account business and customer needs and shape the unique Essentiel Antwerp brand experience. You will be working at our ecommerce department, in close collaboration with our other departments and will report to the Head of Ecommerce.

Main tasks

• Handle ongoing development in collaboration with technical partners
• Analyze business requests and translate them into product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Prioritize backlog items and manage sprint planning
• Overseeing development stages
• Testing development deliverables
• Report development progress with stakeholders within Essentiel Antwerp

We’re currently working on a full digital transformation, so you will:

• Be a member of the interdisciplinary agile team, consisting of colleagues and specialists
• Contribute to shaping the development plan
• Active assistance in deploying and integrating solutions
• Test and verify the developments
• Keep end-user as well as consumer experience in mind
• Collaborate with designers and other partners to facilitate and implement projects
• Have high impact on shaping the future of ecom / omnichannel story

Skills & experience

• This position is considered a mid to senior level
• Bridge between the business, creativity and technology.
• Experience with ecommerce platform is a must, particularly Magento 2 would be ideal
• You are familiar with HTML, CSS, PHP and/or JS, while PWA is a serious advantage
• CX/UX experience is a plus
• Experience in the following is a big advantage: Jira, Magento, Algolia, Builder, Alumio, LS Retail, Business Central, fashion/retail industry
• You know how to prioritize and reach deadlines
• You are familiar with Agile processes
• You have outstanding analytical skills and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly and independently.
• You have excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and team working ability
• You are detail-oriented and work with a high level of precision
• You enjoy learning and problem solving
• You write and speak English and Dutch fluently, French is a plus (speaking)
• You are stress-resistant, and you have a positive attitude.
• You take ownership.
• You proactively generate ideas, know how to prioritize, and are diligent
• You have a bachelor or master degree or equivalent in experience
• One thing that will impress us: knowledge of composable commerce
