Tasks

• You define and further develop the enercity data strategy, taking into account the corporate and digital strategy as well as the long-term transformation projects.
• You will also be responsible for agreeing and implementing methods, best practices and tool support together with the specialist departments to continuously improve data availability, security, quality and maintenance, including the underlying processes.
• You will carry out regular reporting on the progress of strategy implementation and initiate continuous improvement measures.
• You design and implement the database, backup and archiving strategy for new and existing applications
• You will also be responsible for needs-based installation, operation, maintenance and documentation. Regular patching, monitoring and implementation of automation processes in the areas of databases, backup and archiving are also part of the job.
• You build up a powerful department, develop it further and manage it according to the requirements of the management persona. This includes establishing a positive working environment and culture that takes equal account of achieving work results and employee motivation.
• You promote company-wide collaboration with other departments to facilitate and improve overarching data management.
• The introduction and maintenance of master data standards, including supporting MDM and MDG technologies to ensure the consistency, accuracy and sustainable quality assurance of master data, expands your range of tasks. You will develop KPIs and metrics to monitor the performance & quality of data management. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the development and ongoing optimization of an operating model to sharpen the cooperation / division of labor with local data management (especially data stewards or data scientists) in the specialist areas.
• Communicating the data strategy and implementation progress at all levels of the company and to relevant stakeholders rounds off your area of activity. You will develop governance guidelines and procedures for the management of master data, monitor compliance with these guidelines and ensure that employees are optimally trained and educated across the company with regard to enterprise data management.

Requirements

• You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, economics, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification.
• You have several years of experience in leading teams as well as in the development and successful implementation of strategies related to enterprise data management, databases, backup & archiving.
• You have several years of management experience with disciplinary responsibility for a team
• You also have strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to motivate and lead teams and communicate a clear vision for enercity data management.
• You demonstrate a high degree of initiative, a sense of responsibility, independent working and decision-making skills.
• You are a team player with a reliable way of working and very good, active communication skills in a demanding work environment, also in English if required.
• You have an inspiring personality and are able to harmonize the needs of different stakeholders
• You have the inner mindset that lifelong learning and the willingness to self-reflect are a natural part of the leadership role.
